HEALTH CLUB FOR THE MIND
You spend a small fortune on your health club. You have the motivation
to do what is best for your well-being. You are mindful of the value of a
healthy body. You have prepped yourself to enjoy each and every day
that you have. That's great. But, what about your mind? Are you giving
it the proper nutrition and exercise?
Without a proper intellectual diet and regular mental exercises, your
brain becomes soft and weak. Like a flabby body, your brain will
become jelly. Your analytical skills lose their edge. Your ability
to reason starts to decline. Your memory starts to go. Simply put,
you can end up with hard muscles and a soft head.
You need a health club for the mind. You need to expand your
horizons. You need a place where you can spend a few hours
a week sharpening your mind. Most of all, you need to fill the
mind and soul with the important things of life. Set aside time
to read the Word. Spend time in meditation and prayer. Serve
your fellowman. Be a workman that is not ashamed of his
labors. Plan for your later years. You need a healthy body
to live to your later years. You need a healthy body to live
to an old age, but you need a spirit filled mind to prepare
the soul for eternity.
