The 2001 Football Broadcast Schedule on WYKY "Y" 105.7 FM: The Regional Championship AAAA playoff game between Oldham County and Trinity will be aired LIVE on 1600 AM WKXF, with delayed coverage airing on WYKY 105.7 FM. The delayed broadcast on 105.7 FM will air immediately following the University of Kentucky basketball game, at approximately 11 pm. The live coverage on 1600 WKXF will begin at
7:00 with the pregame show; kickoff is at 7:30 pm.
WYKY "Y" 105.7 FM is pround to present another season of Oldham County and South Oldham football on the air. This year's Colonel and Dragon squads will step into a new 4-A football district, featuring the following schools: Trinity, Ballard, Eastern, jeffersontown,Fern Creek, Shelby County, Oldham County, and South Oldham. Oldham's non-district schedule includes two of the most storied programs in the state, the St. X Tigers and the Danville Admirals. Both schools have won multiple state titles. South, under new head coach Brian Schutte, will also face a competitive non-district schedule. WYKY will air Dragon games against the powerful Manual Crimsons and an up-and-coming Seneca team coached by former Oldham County great Lonnie Oldham. Joining play-by-play announcer Mike Montgomery as this year's color commentator will be Tom Hawkins, a longtime Oldham County resident and a retired football coach. Tom's experience with all levels of Oldham County football, from Youth League to the high schools, will be a big asset during this year's broadcasts. Click on any game in the broadcast schedule
