Basketball Broadcast Schedule 2000-2001

All games broadcast live on WYKY 105.7 FM unless otherwise noted with Mike Montgomery, a 1980 Oldham County graduate, providing the play-by-play.  Jeff Griffin will provide the color commentary for Oldham County games and Pat Yates will do color for the South Oldham games.  Both Jeff and Pat played for Oldham County High School in the mid-80's.

Coverage from Trimble County High School in Bedford of all Oldham County and South Oldham boys and girls basketball games will be presented by WYKY 105.7 FM, according to the following schedule.
ALL Eighth Region action - boys and girls - will be aired LIVE on our sister station, WTHQ "Thunder" 101.7 FM, with some games simulcast on WYKY 105.7 FM. 

Mike Montgomery will provide the play-by-play live from Henry County High School (boys) and Shelby County High School (girls tournament).

Friday, 3/9/01 – Boys’ 8th Region semifinals – Shelby Co. (23-6) vs. Scott Co. (25-5), Pregame at
5:30 pm on WTHQ 101.7 FM and WYKY 105.7 FM

Immediately following, about 7:30 pm – Oldham County (25-4) vs. Bullitt Central (20-9)

Saturday, 3/10/01  – Boys’ final, pregame beginning at 7:00 pm on WTHQ 101.7 & WYKY 105.7
FM.

Monday, 3/12/01 – Girls’ 8th Region semifinals – Scott Co (22-6) vs. Bullitt Central (20-10). Pregame
at 5:30 pm on WTHQ 101.7 FM. 

Immediately following, about 7:30 pm – #4 Shelby Co (26-3) vs. #11 Oldham Co (22-6)

STATE TOURNAMENT

WYKY 105.7 FM will cover the Oldham County Colonels as
far as they go in the boys' Sweet 16 Basketball Tournament. 

Coverage will begin on Wednesday night with the first round game versus #1-ranked Lousville Male. 

The pregame show will begin at 7:00, with tip-off scheduled for approximately 8:30 pm.

If the Colonels advance, they will next play on Friday at 2:30.  Our coverage will begin at 1:00 pm on WYKY 105.7 FM.

Saturday games, if needed, would be at 10 am (pregame at 9 am) and 8 pm (pregame at 7 pm).  All games will be on WYKY 105.7 FM.  IF A UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY NCAA TOURNAMENT GAME ON SATURDAY CAUSES A SCHEDULING CONFLICT, THE SWEET 16 GAME WILL BE AIRED ON WTHQ "THUNDER" 101.7 FM.
