Volunteers are what make the Red Cross happen. Volunteers make up 97% of the Red Cross staff. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and a large percentage are under the age of 25.

Who are Red Cross Volunteers?

Some volunteers help with a single event, some have been involved for many years, providing community services, leadership, organizing blood drives and helping to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. Some people even volunteer during their vacation time.
Volunteers are needed to help in many different capacities. Not all volunteers will have an opportunity to save a life, but all volunteers will have the opportunity to make a difference and to provide service to the community.
