The future of the Red Cross depends on youth and the recognition of these principles.

   
 

Programs

The Junior Red Cross provide many instructional services to the community. Most courses are offered at many of our local schools, daycares, scout troops, etc. Some of the programs for this year include:

Basic Aid Training
This course teaches basic skills necessary to treat common injuries and response to emergency situations. It is a 10 to 12 hour program.

First Aid for Children Today
This is a comprehensive health and safety program for children.

Scrubby Bear Hand Washing course
This course teaches children that infection can be combated by frequent hand washing. Children learn about germs and responsible behavior that reduce and control the spread of infectious diseases.

Safe Sitters Baby-sitter Course
This course provides safe and responsible care skills to youth ages 12 to 17, to care for children in the absence of parents. It also provides 4 hours of CPR training. 12 hours total.

W.H.A.L.E. Tales (water safety class)
This course teaches water safety. Students can learn water safety right in the classroom

Safe On My Own
This course is designed to generate confidence in children, helping them spend their time alone at home productively and safely.
