The Project Guild Of LaGrange, Inc. was founded in
August, 1964, with fourteen young homemakers as charter members. The original purpose
of the organization was to better enableits members to serve as assets
to each other and to the community in which they lived. Since 1971,Project
Guild has hosted Oldham County Day. This event is an annual opportunity
held in July to celebrate community pride, to provide fun for all ages,a
traditional reunion for friends and family, and a source of income for
local charities and service organizations.
As a non-profit
organization, Project Guild returns proceeds from Oldham County Day and
other endeavors to the community through support for local resources. Project
Guild has seen many changes in its history. Membership today includes women
of all ages, career women as well as homemakers, but the purpose remains
the same…
