| The
Single Parent Scholarship Fund was established
by a group of musicians who believe in using their artistic skills to make
our society a better place to live.
Our underlying belief is that the tremendous bounty of earth's resources should be shared by everyone. We believe the current levels of hunger, poverty and violence in the world are unacceptable. Our goal is to improve these conditions, for one person at a time, by promoting self-reliance and economic justice through education. We do so by sponsoring the Single Parent Scholarship Fund at Jefferson Community College. The centerpiece of our fund raising is the weekly Tuesday night concert. We are currently planning a roving concert series. |
We ask only two things from our sponsors: (1) We want you to invite friends to accompany you to one of our music programs. You can enjoy some great Louisville-style music, share a meal or a few drinks with your friends, and return home at a reasonable hour. (2) Display our promotional signs somewhere in your place of business (i.e., employee lunch room or company bulletin board). If you can supply something you think we might need, please let us know!
